Did you know, darlings, that some men have a theory, on how women come from another planet, because our feet are cold all the time? :-) They say that only aliens could have freezing toes, when it’s 30 degrees °C outside. Well… they might even be right ;-), then I really don’t know how it’s medically possible that even in August, I need to wear a pair of “emergency socks” in my bag in case I stay longer in the city and my feet start to freeze. :-D But that’s actually not funny at all, because I don’t like socks :-) and love, love, love sandals, mules, flip-flops… you name it. Boots and shoes are my enemy. But, you know on my planet…..
Just kidding. ;-)
That’s why I couldn’t have been happier when finally the spring weather decided to do me a favour and allow me to wear my brand new sandals for the first time this year. Although I have to admit that they do look very sexy and glamorous, the strappy and sky-high heeled sandals are not really my case. Unlike in fall and winter, when my boots and pumps can’t be high enough, I prefer a “grounded” everyday summer shoe. I enjoy that feeling, like I’m almost walking barefoot.
They look classy enough, so that you look very polished wearing them, but at the same time they are very open, comfortable and stable. The block heel is just high enough to give your legs that elongated effect, so you can also wear them with skirts.
I chose my regular size 39, but since they are sandals and have an open front, I even could’ve ordered them in size 38. I wore them during my visit to Zagreb and walked in them the whole day and I can tell you – they are more then just comfortable. But I’ll be telling you more about this visit in one of my next posts. ;-)
Black shoes are always easy to match and I decided to go with “red & black” style for my stroll through the city and time with my friends in the lovely bar called “A most unusual garden”, but I realised that something was missing. And it was a dot. Or many dots in fact. ;-) So I included this sugar-sweet polka dot cross body bag (which by the way costs under 5$ on sale ;-)) into my outfit and it changed everything.
I was so surprised when I originally got it, because it was much bigger then I thought and has three very practical compartments. But still, I’m not sure that when I put my iPhone and wallet inside, my “emergency socks” will fit in. ;-) I still think it’s WUNDERBAR though.
Enjoy the sandals season darlings!
