It’s back darlings! The beard! For years and years we’ve been looking at clean- shaven male faces, but I think now it’s almost official that those days are over. What do you think? Is your reaction to that “Thank God!” or more “Oh my God!”? ;-)
Don’t you love that particular SFF – week in the summer? People are arranging their holidays around the festival schedule, you can feel the excitement and anticipation in the air, the city is packed with tourists, the locals are pulling out their best outfits for a stroll over the red carpet or just a night out and the life is basically happening on the streets and in and in front of the many screening locations.
Most of us wait a whole year for “The Summer Vacation”. A week or two away from everything and everyone, preferably on the beach, with a lot of sun, good food and fun things to do and see. But actually, while waiting for “the vacation” with the big “V” to come (that often does not fulfill one’s expectations and from which you don’t always come back from fully relaxed and ready to concquer the world;-), you can actually have a “mini holiday” every weekend in the summer. The best way to prepare for a holiday is to have a holiday, right darlings? ;-)
The other day I went into a clothing store in search for a new bikini and to check out the “state of sale” in hope the percentages went up and accordingly the prices even more down ;-), and came face to face with… ankle boots and cardigans. The first items of the autumn collection were in. What is wrong with the world (and the fashion industry)?! It is August and we have at least one full month of sun, beach and holidays ahead of us and, if we are lucky, a long golden September! I still don’t want to think of rain and cold weather. :-( What a buzzkill!
You know that moment when you go through your closet in search for an outfit for the next day and you stumble upon a piece where you just have to ask yourself: “What the hell was I thinking??”. By that I don’t refer to those pants, tops or dresses you bought when you were 5 years younger, 10 kilos lighter, or heavier. No, I’m thinking of those pieces, which were… well… just plain wrong choice from the beginning, if you know what I mean? ;-)
