I’m so excited to write this post because… well obviously since it’s about food and that’s reason enough ;-), but also darlings because it deals with my favorite (and I believe also the most important) meal of the day. His Royal Highness – the breakfast!
The first snowflakes and bellow zero temperatures might inspire some fashion lovers to pull out their cashmere shawls and fine leather gloves, to put on cozy silk and angora turtlenecks and hit the shops on the quest for a new poncho, but with me it’s different. As soon as winter shows its face, my mind wanders of to… spring and summer time. :-)
Hello darlings to the second “pumpkin post” of this week. :-)
We are continuing to cook with the “orange beauty”, but on our menu today is a delicacy that is more characteristic for the US market then for the European one. Of course, for those of you who consider Starbucks their second home, the situation is slightly different. ;-) We are preparing the WUNDERBAR “Pumpkin Spice Latte”… with an actual pumpkin! ;-)
I know Halloween is over long ago, still to me the whole November is the month of pumpkins… and chestnuts and pomegranates. But I just can’t write about all three at once. :-) That’s why I decided to dedicate this (and the following) post to the one of the most tasteful and versatile veggies of the fall season and provide you with a bit of inspiration what to do with it.
The capital of Bavaria and (one of) the most beautiful cities in Germany is often labeled simply as a destination to enjoy the most famous beer festival in the world – the “Oktoberfest”. But darlings, Munich is so much more then beer, “Lederhosen” and gingerbread hearts. ;-) The Italians call it for a reason “Monaco di Baviera”. :-)
It’s been a week since the daylight saving time was introduced. The clock hands were pushed back and we got a long deserved hour more of sleep last Sunday. Yey! But now comes the downside of this phenomenon – the daylight is actually being saved, which means there’s not so much of it any more. When this time of the year begins darlings, my spirit animal is a grizzly bear. :-) Just like the giant teddies, I would love nothing better then to go to bed and wake up in April. ;-)
