As I promised in the first part of my travelogue from Jajce as one o the Mastercard Top Hidden Treasures, (if you haven’t yet, you need to check it out ;-)) in this post I intend to show you many beautiful sights apart from the Pliva Waterfalls, which this city has to offer and that you shouldn’t miss in any case during your visit. Did you know that Jajce is often referred to as “a museum under the open sky”? Lovely, right?
For a long time, I was on a search for the perfect white top for the spring/summer season. It’s not like I don’t have quite a few of white blouses and tops, but they are all for different occasions. One is only for the office. The other is too casual and a bit see-through, so it’s only for my free time. The third only goes with “that one skirt”… You know what I mean, darlings. ;-) What I needed was a universal piece, which has that “ special something” and that I can wear with a pair of jeans, but also classy cigarette pants. Well, darlings – that task sounds easier then it is. ;-)
Summer is all about fashion, darlings. The colors, the flowers, the stripes, the ruffles, the bows… Don’t you just love it? There is no way we can express ourselves fashion-wise like that during the Winter months. That’s why my philosophy is, to enjoy Summer fashion to the fullest. And maybe even go a little bit crazy. ;-) Especially when you’re going on a vacation. In order to do that, I have another shopping wish list of proposals for you – this time from the lovely online shopping site Rosegal. Check them out. ;-) Happy Summer shopping. :-)
Hey darlings. Summer is here! Vacation time! Do you have everything you need for the beach, sightseeing and party? No? Well, that means it’s time for me to share with you some of my latest summer fashion online picks. I’ll start with one of my favorite online shops – Zaful. I hope you’ll find some inspiration for you. Happy shopping. :-)
My first memory of Jajce – one of this year’s Mastercard’s Top Hidden Treasures – goes back to the early 80s. I remember going on a trip with my parents. Where to exactly – I really don’t know. I recall that we took a bus. Why the bus and not our car – I can’t recall either. The only thing I do remember, is my mother waking me up from my sleep, while my father was holding me in his arms and her saying: “Look down munchkin.”. And there it was… right under our feet and in all of its glory – the Pliva waterfall. To me, the water falling down looked just like a long and shining girls’ hair.
Some six years ago I bought a fabulous, short, black, silk kimono with delicate butterfly pattern. I got it for a ridiculously low price, just because… well, no one wanted to have it. :-) Since then, I’ve wore it every Summer – to the office, instead of a blazer, as a cover up, over a delicate, spaghetti strap top and in many other ways, but always with a smile – because I knew, I have a very special piece that others still don’t really appreciate, but soon they will. ;-) And my inner “fashion oracle” was right! ;-)
Did you know, darlings, that some men have a theory, on how women come from another planet, because our feet are cold all the time? :-) They say that only aliens could have freezing toes, when it’s 30 degrees °C outside. Well… they might even be right ;-), then I really don’t know how it’s medically possible that even in August, I need to wear a pair of “emergency socks” in my bag in case I stay longer in the city and my feet start to freeze. :-D But that’s actually not funny at all, because I don’t like socks :-) and love, love, love sandals, mules, flip-flops… you name it. Boots and shoes are my enemy. But, you know on my planet…..
Just kidding. ;-)
What used to be a pattern associated with country style, vintage, but also… tablecloths ;-) is today an inevitable part of every fashionistas’ closet. The gingham! You can see it everywhere lately! Even I already wrote about it in one of my Closet Doors posts from New York. :-) However, it seems to me that all the clothing styles with this pattern for the Summer are either very casual, super youthful or just very sweet. Now, I think there is a way to incorporate this lovely print into every style and occasion, without looking a bit like Dorothy form the Wizard of Oz, or as if you’re already in vacation mode. ;-) Here are my suggestion, darlings.
When you wake up in the morning and want to get dressed, do you have some special ritual, darlings? How do you know, what to wear that day, or how do you make a choice on your look? I always lie in the bed and do the “fitting room game” in my head. :-) Still, sometimes it not easy to mix and match the top, with the skirt, or maybe still pants, and a scarf, and blazer or perhaps better a jacket… That’s why I love pieces that dress you up from head to toe. Like jumpsuits and especially dresses.
As I wrote in my previous post, on how to wear a Summer dress also during other seasons of the year, I will be sharing with you another beautiful style, darlings.
